Sannie's Story I've been experiencing a sense of disorientation in my life, primarily because I chose to pursue a major in Finance during university under peer pressure, leading to a lack of motivation and interest. Seeking a change, I borrowed "Python Crash Course" by Eric Matthes from the library earlier this year. Through consistent self-study, I've successfully created a basic website following the book's guidance. This experience has made me realize that delving deeper into coding is the direction I want to take in my career.

🙋‍♀️ Sannie's Motivation

There's a huge range of resources online, but for someone just starting to dip their toes into coding, it gets overwhelming and I don't really know how I could start. SheCodes provides the friendly platform for beginners with a structured teaching module, which i believe is also a good pathway to develop my knowledge because its up-to-date.

🤹‍♀️ Sannie's Hobbies

I am passionate in street dance, primarily in styles such as hiphop! It's a huge part of my identity and my social circle, and I'm so grateful to have found such a platform for me to express myself.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
