Saranga's Story I first became interested in coding when I realized how much of our world is powered by technology — from websites and apps to automation and AI. I was curious about how things work behind the scenes, and I wanted to create something of my own. The idea of solving problems and building digital tools really excited me. Once I tried my first basic project, I was hooked — it felt empowering to turn ideas into something real using just code.

I’m passionate about technology and creativity, and coding allows me to bring my ideas to life in a powerful way. SheCodes offers a supportive, beginner-friendly environment that empowers women, and I’m excited to be part of a community where I can learn, grow, and eventually contribute to real-world projects with confidence.

In my free time, I enjoy exploring creative and relaxing activities. I love listening to music, journaling my thoughts, and sometimes diving into books that inspire self-growth. I’m also really interested in learning new things online — whether it’s about coding, psychology, or productivity. Spending time with close friends, watching meaningful movies, or just going on a peaceful walk also brings me joy

Saranga's coding training

Saranga has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

📦 Foundation students get access to these coding workshops:
1. SheCodes Basics (3 weeks)
2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
