Saron's Story I became interested in coding for the first time when I realized that I wanted to have a personal blog website. I enjoy writing essays and poems a lot. I wanted to have a platform where I could show case my pieces. That is how I decided to start coding. I am building the frontend part of the website and it has been a fun journey so far.

🙋‍♀️ Saron's Motivation

I have been interested in coding for a while now. The main reason I chose SheCodes is that it focuses on helping women with passion for coding yet with no or inadequate access to training. As a woman myself, I want to improve my skills to get hired in the future and become self sufficient.

🤹‍♀️ Saron's Hobbies

Aside from coding, I like reading books mostly fictional books. My favorite genres are psychological novels and thriller as well as the classics. In addition, I enjoy reading my Bible and meditating on what I have read. I also enjoy watching movies and listening to music.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
