Seaname's Story first became interested in coding when I took a short course in web development. At first, I was just curious about how websites and apps work behind the scenes. But as I started learning the basics—like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript—I became fascinated by how lines of code could create something functional and beautiful. It felt like I had discovered a new language that allowed me to build, design, and solve problems all at once. What really sparked my passion was realizing that coding is more than just technical skills—it’s about creativity, logic, and making an impact. I saw the potential to use coding in training and development, which is something I’m deeply involved in. The idea that I could create digital tools or platforms to support learning and help others grow inspired me to continue learning. From that moment, I knew coding was a path I wanted to follow.

🙋‍♀️ Seaname's Motivation

I have already completed a short course in web development, which sparked my interest in the tech world. I realized that coding is not only about building websites or apps—it’s about solving real-world problems, improving systems, and bringing creative ideas to life. With She Codes, I see an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, learn from mentors, and connect with like-minded women who are breaking barriers in tech.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
