Shakila's Story my interest in coding was inspired from science fictional movies when I was a student at school. Although it seemed to me fancy at first, later I found that it is a real field at universities; consequently, I chose it as my first option in entrance exam. I could succeed in this field by getting 320 out of 360 in national exam. Unfortunately I cannot continue my lessons now because of limitations against women. But I am not giving up. I will try as hard as I can to make my dreams reality being a specialist in coding, and bring innovations in this field.

🙋‍♀️ Shakila's Motivation

I have studied coding last year which is my favorite field for two semesters at Kabul university of Afghanistan, and then Taliban banned education for women. Since then I am trying to find any opportunity to continue my lessons; therefore, I believe this is a golden chance to continue my path.

🤹‍♀️ Shakila's Hobbies

I usually watch science fiction films in my free time as well as get in touch with my family and friends.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
