Shreyeska's Story I first became interested in coding during my first coding classes. We had just learnt Q-basic. This was in grade 10. And we were learning number pattern in QBasic. I liked the classes immediately and wanted to learn more about coding. We were taught C programming in Grade 12, and I aced my classes. With positive feedback and continuous support, I felt my interest in coding grow overtime.

I have always had interest in Computer Science. I like math and problem solving questions. I like creating projects that can help the create impact in the society. In a way, coding makes me excited and gives me a sense of empowerment. I want to learn how to code with SheCodes because it looks very promising and having a chance to collaborate with females make me feel safe and secure. I have always had imposter syndrome due to the field being heavily dominated by male and a space with all female gives me sense of belonging. I want to become independent and open up new career opportunities in the field.

I like to read books. I mostly read fictional books and have tried few non-fictional too. I also like to play badminton and swim occasionally. I like to do things that challenge me and makes me active.

Shreyeska's coding training

Shreyeska has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!
