Siyamukela's Story I was introduced to coding during my tertiary course but it was only at the introductory level. I am interested in learing and becoming an expert in the tech space because there is a high demand for technicallly skilled employees in this space therefore there is a greater chance of securing a good job but I am mostly excited to learn and understand the backend of the interfaces we use on a daily basis, there is a science and innovation behind the interfaces that we use so it would be interesting to learn how that is achieved and how do we continuously improve and give the user the best experience.

Shecode is aimed at empowering women to advance their careers and tap into an industry with high demand with the objective of granting women fair opportunity to work in these technical and specialised industry. I would like to improve my skills and possibly change careers altogether also I would like to be in a position to earn a very good income to secure my family's future and create a better life for myself. Lastly I would love an opportunity that would allow for me to work remotely.

I enjoy reading booksand listening to podcasts, it a good way to get your imagination going. I love swimming as an active hobby and I enjoy cooking and being creative with my meals.

Siyamukela's coding training

Siyamukela has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!
