Sohaila's Story When I was preparing to apply to university, I had planned to study a different major. However, after my family's encouragement, I chose Computer Science instead. At first, I wasn't interested in the field, especially coding. It seemed confusing because I had no idea what programming was or how it worked. My first programming language was C++, and as I practiced the code from my classes, I gradually started enjoying it. Sitting at my computer, solving problems, and seeing my code work became exciting. That was when I realized I wanted to become a programmer in the future. Unfortunately, when universities were closed in Afghanistan, I had to stop studying, and I gradually lost touch with coding. Later, I decided to rediscover my passion by looking for free online coding courses. Since then, I have joined several free programs to continue learning and rebuilding my skills. That's why I'm excited about opportunities like SheCodes to keep growing and move closer to my goal of becoming a programmer and Frontend developer.
