Solomiia's Story I have been thinking of changing my qualification already for a long time. I wasn't quite satisfied with my position at work. So, I considered taking some coding courses. Furthermore, I have many friends who are coding now. And I found it quite interesting to try it myself. At work, I always did different tasks, that's why every time I had to learn something new. And I like learning new, and I am quite successful in it. So I am pretty sure that coding won't be an exception.

🙋‍♀️ Solomiia's Motivation

I believe that it's a stupid stereotype, that coding is for men only. And I want to prove it myself. SheCodes is a perfect place to ruin the gender stereotypes. I saw good reviews about SheCodes workshops and read inspiring success stories what encourage me to apply to the program of SheCodes.

🤹‍♀️ Solomiia's Hobbies

I love watching art-house movies and discussing them with my friends. I also like folding the Rubik's cube. And I am passionate about reading books, and my friend and I are even working now on our own podcast about Ukrainian literature.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
