Sonya's Story Last year I became interested in blockchain, having met many people who are working in this sphere. This was when I realised that with code people can do and are doing fascinating things! Since than I have a little dream to become a part of the IT world. I haven't had a chance to learn code because of uni, but since I am graduating very soon, I feel like I am ready and it's a good time to start.

🙋‍♀️ Sonya's Motivation

I am graduating for the university this summer. Since I had to move abroad because of the war in Ukraine, and I am not sure when I'll be able to come back (but I sure will), I realised the best career choice is when job is not linked to one physical place/ city/ country, but rather when you are able to work from anywhere, thus avoiding the risk to lose the job because of unpredictable factors. That's why I would love to dive into IT and coding. Moreover, I do believe that technologies shape the modern reality and it would be amazing to be a part of building the future.

I cannot imagine my life without doing sports (tennis, dancing, gym work outs), I love self - education and reading books, hanging out with friends and meeting new cool people, I travel whenever I get a chance.

Sonya's coding training

Sonya has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!
