Taboka's Story My friend pursuing a degree in Computer Science offered to set up a laptop for me free of charge, then I questioned myself why we have to pay for something so easy instead of learning it, communication between humans and technology is achievable through coding.

🙋‍♀️ Taboka's Motivation

As the only girl child in my Kalanga family with traditional gender roles, I have the desire to prove that anyone can learn how to code and break gender stereotypes. SheCodes supports girls like me as I want to create better career opportunities after my Public Administration and Economics degree and show other young girls that they can code too.

🎯

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
