Temiloluwa's Story I was introduced to SheCode Foundation by a friend who told me about the program and the opportunities it provides for young people to learn coding and develop valuable technology skills. The way my friend explained the program, especially the practical learning opportunities and supportive environment, immediately caught my attention. What interested me most was the idea that I could learn how to create things with technology rather than just use technology. I became curious about coding and wanted to understand how websites, applications, and other digital solutions are built. After hearing about the program, I felt that SheCode Foundation would be a great place for me to start my coding journey. I am interested in learning new skills, challenging myself, and gaining knowledge that can benefit me in my undergraduate studies and future career. My friend's recommendation encouraged me to take the opportunity seriously, and I am excited about the possibility of learning, growing, and becoming more confident in technology through the program.

🙋‍♀️ Temiloluwa's Motivation

My motivation for learning how to code comes from my desire to gain valuable skills, become more independent, and prepare myself for the future. Having recently completed secondary school and preparing to begin my undergraduate education, I believe this is the perfect time to explore technology and develop skills that will benefit me throughout my academic and professional journey. I have always been curious about how websites, applications, and other digital platforms are created. I find it fascinating that lines of code can turn ideas into useful solutions and make a difference in people's lives. This curiosity has encouraged me to understand the technology behind the digital world rather than simply being a user of it. I chose SheCode Foundation because I believe it will give me the opportunity to learn in a supportive environment, gain practical knowledge, and build confidence in technology. I also hope to connect with other young women who share similar interests and ambitions. In the future, I want to use my coding skills to solve real-life problems and create meaningful projects. I also hope to inspire other young girls to explore technology and believe in their ability to succeed in a field that can open many opportunities. I am ready to learn, practice, and challenge myself, and I am excited to begin this journey with SheCode Foundation.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
