Tetiana's Story Maternity leave had the greatest influence on the choice of my future profession. It's time when you have a possibility to stop and think about your choice in life. And if this choice is a little different from the one, I imagined at the beginning of adult life, and there is support from the family to change this choice, then maybe it's time for changes. I worked in the field of public education for over 10 years. And no matter how interesting it was most of the time - to study and teach, communicate and write scientific papers, any work should have an appropriate level of compensation and remuneration. Particularly annoying was the issue of paying for professional growth by myself - publishing articles and participating in conferences, training and business trips. During maternity leave, I tried to change the direction of my activities three times and for the fourth time I finally decided. It seems to me I have never been so fascinated by learning new material and its practical application. Despite the fact that it has never been so difficult for me at the same time. For a year I slowly but surely, mostly on my own, tried to "enter the IT" and realized that I was really interested, but lacked structure and mentoring. So, I applied for a postpaid frontend course and was selected from more than 500 applicants. The ability to work remotely from time to time also "added" to the choice. In addition, communication among young people also attracts, I feel quite comfortable among peers and individuals who are younger than me. And the possibility of continuous development is really important for me. Learning once and putting it into practice is definitely not about IT.
