Thando's Story My dad, I remember how stressed I was after completing my matric and my dad did a research on my behalf and that is how I got into coding. I struggled at first because programming is a language on its own, became dedicated and I fell in love with it. When I saw how hard it was for females to make it in this industry I wanted to prove a point that we are as much capable as the opposite gender and from thereon I have been really dedicated.

🙋‍♀️ Thando's Motivation

I honestly want to up skill myself, a qualification alone will not put you where you want to be or get in spaces that you want. I have been finding it hard to get a job/ internship so I saw a need to acquire more and know more, I know these skills will really play a huge role in helping me get to where I wanna be.

🤹‍♀️ Thando's Hobbies

Going to gym, reading and spending time with family

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
