Thone 's Story My love for computer science and programming has started since I finished my matriculation exam, which is an important part of our country’s students choosing their careers. I regret that I am pretty late in realizing my passion for being a software developer. Actually, starting from my high school days, I was totally intrigued by science-related subjects, especially like mathematics. From watching technological-related movies that silently stimulated my unaware mind to become a software engineer, it kept growing in my mind even as time passed. It never really bothered me to solve difficult problems and to use logic to be capable of solving problems has always been the root of my pleasure. I like working on a problem for an extended amount of time to finally have the satisfaction of finding a solution. The more I am genuinely into logical reasoning and thinking, the more I am eager to explore more about computer science. Then, I definitely believe that it is the reason that drew me to choose computer science as my primary and dive deeply into it.

🙋‍♀️ Thone 's Motivation

Technology has always been something that I am eager to learn. As a youth with a great passion for solving complex puzzles and problems, computer science became my new hobby. It is essential to me to academically pursue an area in which I am passionate about. After making a solid decision to choose it, I applied to the computer science department of Dagon University. When I got accepted by that university, I was hoping to polish my computing skills. I have never felt enough with my knowledge and skills in critical thinking and computing logic in my first-year term. Then, I joined the android development courses and using Java and Kotlin, I created programs and applications, testing out new functions or building new features that brought the light to see my progress in programming. Furthermore, I have been taught what clean coding is like, android development architecture and more concepts of developing an application. The project I was assigned involved food ordering and learning recipes features included application. After completing that application project, I achieved not only the certificate of completion but also tons of experience and knowledge. Whilst studying at my university, I was able to make a connection between myself and its different subfields. I definitely enjoyed my time at University as I got chances to participate in school projects and IPEC. At the time I was feeling the fresh breeze of studying computer science in my third-year term, a biggest widespread problem called the COVID pandemic plus the worst situation in our country ( Myanmar ) struck us and all of our activities have been stuck on it. We sorrowfully lost our hopes. However, I don’t want to give up on my dreams. I want my dreams of being a creative software developer to stay alive. Then I found the news of scholarship at shecode program. I knew that would be the thread to my bright future.
