Tina's Story I first became interested in coding through my work in fraud. I was constantly using systems to investigate cases, and it made me curious about how those tools are built and how they could be improved to prevent fraud more effectively. Over time, that curiosity grew into a real interest in learning how to code so I can move from just using these systems to actually helping build them.

🙋‍♀️ Tina's Motivation

My motivation for learning how to code comes from my experience working in fraud. I’ve spent a lot of time identifying issues and risks, and it made me want to be part of the team that actually builds the systems that prevent fraud, not just respond to it. I want to understand how these tools are created and contribute to developing smarter, more secure solutions. SheCodes feels like the right place to start that journey in a supportive environment.

🤹‍♀️ Tina's Hobbies

In my free time, I enjoy watching series and documentaries, especially anything related to crime or real-life investigations. It actually ties into my interest in fraud and problem-solving. I also like spending quality time with friends, trying out new restaurants, and just relaxing and recharging.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
