Tshipu's Story I came across coding when I was scrolling on Tik Tok. I came across more and more videos of ladies in tech, and the content they were posting is mostly about coding, software development/engineering, data analysing etc. So I started having interest when I asked myself questions about how they understand all of the codes on the screen, and how they unpack it. I also did not think there were so many women in tech. As a creative person myself who likes to understand and unpack things, I became very motivated to join the tech industry.

🙋‍♀️ Tshipu's Motivation

My motivation for joining SheCodes is that I would like to enhance my skills so that I can become more valuable in the job market as well as equip myself with a valuable skill. My other reason is because technology is part of our everyday lives so it would be great to learn more in depth than just knowing the basics.

🤹‍♀️ Tshipu's Hobbies

Some of my hobbies are drawing, painting, reading books. I love taking walks, going out on adventures, dancing and the newest hobby that I've recently gained an interest in is roller skating.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
