Tumelo's Story My interest in coding started when I was using a website and thought about how it was built. I wondered how the user interface worked and how the website was able to remember my login details. This led me to research coding languages and how they are used to build the technology we use every day. I was impressed by the potential of coding to create new things and solve problems, and I decided to start learning how to code myself. It's been a rewarding journey so far, and I'm looking forward to seeing what I can create in the future.

When I'm not coding, I enjoy spending time outdoors. I love hiking and exploring new places, and I find it a great way to clear my head and get some fresh air. I also like reading, listening to podcasts, and watching documentaries. I love learning new things and expanding my knowledge, whether it's about history, science, or current events. I try to keep a healthy balance between academics and leisure activities, and I believe that this helps me to be a better coder.

Tumelo's coding training

Tumelo has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

1. SheCodes Basics (3 weeks)
2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
