Vanessa 's Story I have a teaching diploma in Computer Science and mathematics. I have some basic knowledge and I have always wanted to leave the theoretical part and let the practical part become a reality. I got interested the first I was introduced to HTML, how on one side simple words worked like magic to bring life, colour and living creatures on another side. i wanted to d more of that and that's how I got interested and want to vest my commitment in an opportunity to help me better my skills.

🙋‍♀️ Vanessa 's Motivation

As a youth leader I now more than ever want to gain coding as a skill due to extending the knowledge to my mentees. I aim to pave a way for the girls I work with to get motivated to take a path in tech and not fear because it is a male dominated career path.

🤹‍♀️ Vanessa 's Hobbies

I am a spoken word artist, writing or reading to me is my fun activity.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
