Wanda's Story I first became interested in coding when I was doing my last year in University. I would always be interested whenever my friend who did Information systems and I would have study dates. This is when I started to learn a few things from websites he suggested such a Sololearn where I learnt HTML and CSS.

🙋‍♀️ Wanda's Motivation

SheCodes was the best option out there for me as I attended the free intro to SheCodes class with Matt where I learned that SheCodes offers a supportive and beginner friendly environment, especially for women. I figured SheCodes would definitely be the best to help me transition into tech.

🤹‍♀️ Wanda's Hobbies

I am a home body but a bit of hiking and karaoke nights is what I like to do outside the house. Other than that, I am always at home enjoying baking and trying out new recipes.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
