Yevheniia's Story I saw a lot of videos and articles from people who are working in this field of activity, so I eventually became interested in it too, because it looked like a great opportunity for me, since you can work remotely. It also gave me a lot of inspiration, because mostly of the videos were from a women. They made me realize that I’m capable of a lot of things, even if the society says that I am not. I also had small talks with some of them, listening to the hard stories of their live and share mine. For me, coding is something that is not only can help, but unite people together and that’s why it makes me so interested. For the long time now it’s the long profession that I have passion in, but it’s a little bit hard to learn about it by my own for me.

I believe that coding is a type of job that suits me the best. With it i could help my family to establish better financial situation and finally return to my country, reuniting with my dad. It will also help me to finally have anough money and power to start volunteering again and help people in Ukraine. It also makes me feel much more powerful as a women, seeing how much others have reached in coding and how it changed their lives, providing them with lives they have always wanted. Sometimes I can even watch videos of women who’s coding to feel myself motivated to do something, because i’m inspired of their strength.

I like learning new languages, do all kind of sports and writing. I usually write small stories or articles for different kinds of small newspapers. And I hope coding will be one of them soon!

Yevheniia's coding training

Yevheniia has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!
