YIBEM's Story A relative of mine who has a good knowledge in coding visited our family in the year 2013. In the course of our conversation, he explained to me how his job is done and how interesting and highly demanded it is. I told him I would love to learn coding if I have the opportunity. Though he discouraged me and said "its more of man's job", I still made up my mind to study it if I ever have the opportunity.

🙋‍♀️ YIBEM's Motivation

I have always admired jobs that are done with use of computer because I like to manipulate the computer. Coding is an interesting and well paid career though I have often been Toledo that it is more of a male job. Learning coding will help me to have a good source of income and also become competitive in the technological world.

🤹‍♀️ YIBEM's Hobbies

My hobbies are drawing, chorale music, and reading novels.

The SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women hold only 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less than men. In many developing countries, over 65% of women lack bank accounts, making it difficult to invest in their education.

The SheCodes Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
