Yolwando's Story I first became interested in coding when I realized how much technology is a part of our daily lives. I would often wonder how websites, apps, and even simple digital tools are created. That curiosity slowly turned into a desire to understand the process behind it. I started watching videos and reading stories about people—especially women—who learned how to code and changed their lives. That inspired me to believe I could do the same, even if I was starting from scratch.

My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes comes from a personal desire to challenge myself and grow. I’ve always been curious about how websites and apps are built, but I never had the confidence or guidance to start learning. When I discovered SheCodes, I felt like it was the perfect opportunity—a welcoming space where I could learn step by step, without feeling overwhelmed. I want to prove to myself that I can learn something completely new and build skills that can help me create a better future for myself and those around me.

Some of my hobbies include listening to music, spending time with family, and learning new things online. I enjoy watching YouTube tutorials or reading articles about topics that catch my interest—whether it's cooking, tech, or DIY projects. I also like taking walks to clear my mind and stay active. For fun, I love relaxing with a good movie or chatting with friends—it helps me recharge and stay connected.

Yolwando's coding training

Yolwando has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

2. SheCodes AI Basics (3 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌
