Zesuliwe Othello's Story I gradually starting noticing a lack of synergy within the healthcare industry, the healthcare industry generates vast amounts of data, patient information, medical histories, laboratory results and treatment plans but there was natural transition. I thereafter starting looking for ways to correct this and stumbled on coding/AI. There is a growing need for software applications that can support clinical decision-making, patient monitoring, and population health management, among other areas. There are so many opportunities for innovation and impact which can in turn improve patient care, decrease morbidity and overall improve the quality of life

I have an innate passion for learning and artificial intelligent and coding have been at the forefront of what I read about, largely due to the lack of it in Africa but I am also aware that's the direction the world is transitioning to. I currently am in the healthcare sector and it is an industry that is increasingly reliant on technology to improve patient outcomes, streamline processes, and manage data I would like to be apart of the women that change the game especially in the public healthcare sector. Learning to code would allow me the opportunity to work on projects that can have a significant impact on patient care and the healthcare industry as a whole.

Zesuliwe Othello has gained access to SheCodes Basics and SheCodes AI Basics at no cost. Together they are a 6 week coding training that’ll take her from a complete beginner to building her first websites and AI projects.

She'll learn the foundations of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, plus how to build with AI and modern development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!
